Society unveils its new branding embracing a more modern look

We are thrilled to share that today, 27 June, Hinckley & Rugby Building Society is unveiling a brand-new look.

The new brand, with its distinctive yellow and grey colour palette, brings with it a clean and contemporary look and feel, but this is not just a colour change.

The Society has been supporting borrowers and savers across the UK for almost 160 years, but recently has been on a significant journey of modernisation. The first signs of this publicly were the launch of our new website in 2023, and more recently, an online portal to meet the diverse needs of today’s digital consumers.

As we now introduce a new Purpose and Ambition which reflects our renewed commitment to put the customer first, the long-established green and white colour scheme, which served the Society well for years, now feels out of sync.

Integral to the refreshed brand artwork is the Hinckley & Rugby ‘thread’ which not only runs through any imagery, but also makes up the ampersand in the new logo. The thread is designed to illustrate the tie between the Society and the communities we serve, symbolising a connection with members throughout the milestones in their lives.

Danny Cranie, Chief Customer Officer at Hinckley & Rugby Building Society, said:

“We are refreshing the brand to embrace a more modern aesthetic, which realigns our image with our evolving purpose as a mutual organisation – that ‘we are here’ for our members.

“We are here to have a positive impact on our members, our people, our communities, and the environment. Our brand represents this position as a forward-thinking Society with customers at the heart of everything we do.”

We continue to invest in both technology and our people to provide greater choice and convenience for our members. Hinckley & Rugby remains committed to retaining its high street presence, and the new brand will be rolled out gradually across the branches and agencies across Leicestershire, Warwickshire & Lincolnshire. In addition, a new mobile app adopting the new brand will be launched later in 2024 to enable members to manage their accounts securely, wherever they are.
